It's about time......

Went to the market tonight. Thought I'd take some random pictures because there has been absolutely nothing else even remotely blogable for awhile now.

Ran into the Tolles. Al was Marlene's boss when she taught adult school. His wife, Ruth, is just to the left.

LB's Used Cars.....we get results!

After a solid six hours for sale on the street, Lyle of LB's used cars, moved this truck. No smog, no wash, nothing and it was gone. We do get results for our customers and after a small 50% comission everyone seems satisfied. I think I can move a black Scion if a certain party is interested.

This is Lee the new owner of Annie's former truck. His dad owns Miliniches body shop. Hey Annie remember going down there and getting a bid to fix it? Circle of life I guess. Anyway, I'm happy, I know Cory is happy, I hope Annie is happy and Lee is very happy and everyone lived happily everafter. Goodnight.

Rome wasn't built in a day.....

In the interest of fairness and equal time, C and A wanted to make sure that the "after" pictures were shown. They worked for 3 weeks and succeeded in selling, giving, storing and throwing away all the stuff shown in a previous blog. This was one big job.

Two yard sales on succesive Saturdays got rid of an amzing amout of stuff and made them some good money that helped pay for their trip.

The AARP was there to make sure no senior citizens were injured during the yard sale.

Nice job. I had my doubts it would all get done but you made it.

I'll fly away.........

That's a lotta luggage and it's heavy too. Plus backpacks.

The wheels on the truck go round and round.

The truck was almost stopped before Cory made it inside. No really we said our goodbyes curbside.

What else is there to say......

New 12 Step Program: Parents of adult children packrats who live 3,000 miles away and have to store their stuff.

Meet Chris "Pancake" Shuklian. The Army of One just doubled in size. That's right, "He's in the Army now". He'll be leaving for boot camp on Tuesday. Keep him in your prayers.

A brother from another mother. Chris has been a part of the family since Cory met him in high school. We kind of adopted each other and he knew he could always crash at the house when he was in town. He finished up his degree at Chico St. after many years and didn't have anything else to do so he joined up.

I feel safer already, don't you?


We went to a going away party for him at his uncle's place on the family farm. Before things got rolling we had a great time playing with the kittens.

Two roosters put on their version of the UFC without the eight sided ring. The cockfighting was more entertainment than you usually get at a going away party.

I'm explaing that there is more to the uniform than just the hat.

Being the oldest there, we left early. Annie was already exhausted and wishing she was on a subway in NYC. We wish Chris the best and look forward to seeing him after he becomes an army man......all green and frozen in one position.
