Guess who I saw at the FM ?

I ran into KB, so we stood in the same spot for an hour and a half as person after person came by to pay their respects to him.

Hmmmm? Claims he just got back into town.

I borrowed his signature shot. He signed the waiver.

It got to the point, he was knocking people down to talk to them.

The gas man.

Will it ever end?

It was time for me to go and let Dennis babysit him.

Can't you just smell the dairyair?

Famous underground movie was shot in this alley.

Can you believe what has become of the site of my acting breakthrough?

Dumpster Jeopardy

Ok Cory, this is mainly for you. It's not intended to make you homesick, just to bring back pleasant memories. Remember, all answers must be in the form of a question.

Thought I'd start you out with an easy one.

This should ring a bell.

Good times here.

A little tougher.

This is a give away.

You may not know this one.

And the answers are.... The Post Office, Monte Mart, Staples, Grocery Outlet, Opera House, Sequoia Club. I hope you've enjoyed our trip down memory lane. Just think, this is where it all began and now you're pickin' all over the Greater NYC area. Well we're movin' on up!

Comments

Some of you may have had trouble or been inconvenienced by having to sign into an account in order to post comments on our blog. Steps have been taken to remedy this. It should be easier and we hope many of you will post. Thanks Cory for the heads up on this.

It was Homecoming on Sat.

There's a new sherriff in town...Chris Jordan

Clayton is way to cool and way to busy to ride any stinkin bus in a parade. The should have had some walkers tied on the back.

Here's the queen and king. There's some scandel with the voting.

I didn't take these pictures so you might be able to see that there is a lady and man in the car. These are the people who had Annie's wedding shower at their house, and for that they get to ride in the parade.

Malory's sister.

Bill and Joan were here for the weekend. They are staying at Bass Lake before heading back to Colorado.

See any resemblance to Gpa Karl?

Lorie who?

I have been waiting years to see Lorie Line in concert. She finally made a stop in Fresno at the Tower Theater last night. Just her and a small band. It was incredible. She is a fabulous pianist, composer, entertainer and the nicest person you would ever want to meet.
I know, she's over the top with her hair and wardrobe but that's just who she is and you soon forget about it when you hear her play and get to talk to her.

The band was unbelievable and the sound in the theater was perfect.

We were right at the stage. It is a very well restored theater and the first time we had ever been in there.

It was exciting to get to meet her and talk for a few minutes....she's very gracious with her time. Go out and pick up a CD. Can't wait to see her next year or maybe her Christmas show.

This little piggy went to market

Thursday is the downtown market and it brings out a lot of people.
Oh look, there is a friend. The bald headed guy in the shades is Jim Kelly.

Everyone shows up.

This had something to do with HESD.

Happy Mothers Day

We went to the antique show in the park which is always on Mothers Day and starts a week of activities in town that ends with a parade next Sat. Marlene can always find a retired teacher no matter where we are.
There is a chalk-in for the kids and an art show. All this kicks off a week of homecoming for the county.

Marlene ran into the Milhons at the antique fair in the park.

This is the entrance to the old jail which is now a restaurant called the Bastille.

The fountain in courthouse park with Superior Dairy in the background.

One of the iconic sights of Hanford is the pillars of the Civic Auditorium.

Lois' Birds

Nate and Meg, these pictures are for you to see the new unnamed female finch. Grandma loves these birds! Enjoy the pics!
Mom has been taking care of 2 birds that Nate and Meg raised from eggs from their birds. Last week the Society Finch "Merry" passed away. So we got a new Zebra Finch. She is "Happy's" new girlfriend. They are doing fine together.

Mother's Day 2007

This is my sweet mother, Lois! She is the best! I am greatful that we can live close together! She is an inspiration for me to live a Christian life and love others!

Spring Fling 2007

Last night was Spring Fling. It is our way to get together to honor retiring teachers from Hanford Elementary. It was great fun to see friends. Previously retired teachers attend and we can catch up on their lives. Tonight, we honored Georgina Snyder. April Silva, our HETA president lead the event. She is organized, thoughtful, humorous, and a great leader!
Enjoy the pictures of these great people and dedicated teachers of Hanford Elementary!

For Georgina Snyder's retirement, Kathy Rose entertained us with great stories of Georgina's past. Georgina has taught 36 years. She was Cory's 2nd grade teacher. (Also pictured, Elena Roth, Cory's kindergarten teacher and Mike Rogers, Cory's 5th grade teacher.)

Alycin karioke was fun! Bad, but fun!
Georgina speaks with elequence and grace.
